There are many social parish events organised throughout the year. The regular events after Masses embrace the wonderful social atmosphere at St Bridget’s and are an ideal way to meet parishioners who we see every week as well as welcome new ones. A friendly chat can often make a huge difference to someone else. Social Committee A number of parishioners have joined together with the hope of helping to organise some functions to help build up the social life of the parish. Or, if you would rather help at individual functions, then there will be an opportunity to do so and your help will be welcomed. Lists will be made available indicating the sort of help needed for each event. If you would more information, please see the parish directory. Regular Events Sunday Breakfast This is held every two weeks after the Sunday 8.00am Mass in the parish hall. Coffee/tea and pastries are served. It's a cheerful way to start the day to come and chat with friends or to meet new ones. Donations are gratefully received for good causes. During 2005, we raised £222.00 for St Bridget's parish funds and groups, the Passage for the Homeless at Westminster, the Stroke Association, ACROSS Jumbulance, WEEF Seminarian Fund and the MS Society. In 2006, we have already raised £242.50 for the parish funds and our Lenten project. This year, we have so far raised £60.00 for parish funds. Refreshments after 10.00am Mass Every Sunday in the parish hall. Tea/coffee and biscuits are served. Families are especially welcome. First Course Kitchen This is normally held once a month after the 12.00pm Mass in the Parish Hall. Before everyone goes home for Sunday lunch, we offer a first course of delicious homemade soups and garlic bread in the winter and salads and snacks in the summer on the Piazza in front of the Church. It is organised by the members of Communications Team. Donations are gratefully received for good causes.
